Alumni Profile

Eduardo graduated from The Mahindra United World College of India in 2004. "It was while at the college that I received first-hand experience with economic, social and cultural realities completely different to my own; a contact that not only enriched me on a personal level, but also inspired my career ambitions." he recalls.

After a gap year in which he taught English in a rural community in Northern Burkina Faso and travelled to East Asia, he went to Scotland to study at the Mackintosh School of Architecture in Glasgow followed by an exchange year at the University of Porto (Portugal). He was later involved in a project to provide emergency shelters using eco-architecture techniques in Western Saharan refugee camps in Algeria.

He went on to work for the Guggenheim Museums in Venice and New York. In 2009, upon receiving the Huygens Scholarship, he started a Master's in Museology at the Reinwardt Academy in Amsterdam. He combined his studies with a research assistantship at the Netherlands Architecture Institute in Rotterdam. In the summer of 2010 he moved to Beijing for a year to continue researching for his thesis in the role of Heritage, Urbanism and Social Cohesion at Tsinghua University.

He is currently a La Caixa Fellow, enrolled at the MA Brand Development programme at Goldsmiths University in London, specializing in Urban Branding.
